Cherokee Town & Country Club is looking to hire a Full-Time Swim & Fitness Operations Manager. This position will be responsible for day-to-day operation and overall condition of Swim & Fitness facilities including Town Club Fitness Center/Pools/member Locker Rooms and Country Club Fitness Center and Pools. This fitness management position comes with a competitive salary of $50,000 - $55,000 with the opportunity to earn up to 75% commission.

YOUR LIFE AS A SWIM & FITNESS OPERATOINS MANAGER 

The Swim & Fitness Manager recruits, hires, trains, schedules, and evaluates the performance of Swim & Fitness staff while developing and updating operating protocols, procedures, and checklists for the department. This role is responsible for inspecting Swim & Fitness equipment and facilities, taking immediate corrective action to ensure all areas are always maintained to Cherokee standards. Responsibilities include overseeing fitness desk operations, ensuring accurate appointment booking, point-of-sale transactions, and timely reconciliation of discrepancies for all paid member services. The manager ensures the accurate and timely completion of all required daily, weekly, and monthly reports and is responsible for implementing Club rules, policies, safety, and security protocols throughout all Swim & Fitness areas.


Additional duties include completing supporting procedures for weekly payroll processing, managing inventory, and coordinating the requisition, purchase, delivery, and storage of departmental supplies and merchandise. The manager maintains first-aid kit supplies at both Club locations and oversees departmental safety training, safety procedures, and recordkeeping. During pool season, the position is responsible for pool maintenance, supervising lifeguards and pool kiosk staff, and serving as the primary liaison with Sweetwater Pool Company. The manager also oversees the preparation and breakdown of swim meets, maintains regular and effective communication with staff, members, and other managers, provides shift or meal break coverage when needed, and performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Fitness and Wellness.


REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience with management responsibilities directly related to aquatic/fitness/locker room facilities and operations.
  • Not required but a plus, CPO certification.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Club experience
