Job description

Description:PharmcareUSA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in St. Louis!!
Pay is commensurate with experience in LTC
Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Life Insurance, FSA/ HSA, Paid time off and Holidays available for full time employees.
Candidate must be certified as a pharmacy technician in the state in which they will be working, and available to work Full Time, including weekends.



Essential Functions:


  • Assist Pharmacist with input (when appropriate), filling and dispensing of all prescriptions
  • Perform all filling and / or IV compounding of prescriptions with accuracy and reasonable speed
  • Fill prescriptions per rules and regulations of all regulatory entities
  • Answer telephone calls, assist caller when appropriate, or enlist Pharmacist to assist if appropriate
  • Prepare medications to be delivered to facility per delivery schedule
  • Assist any walk-in customers or direct to appropriate department
  • Assist with ordering of medications from wholesaler along with proper inventory management
  • Assist with Medication Returns and E-Kit management
  • Maintain Pharmacy Technician License/Certification
  • Will comply with all Corporate Initiatives and utilize provided tools/resources as appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to talk and hear in order to communicate effectively over the phone and in person;
  • Must be able to see 100% of the time to recognize medications, detect inaccuracies, and observe the work of others with or without correction;
  • This position is very active and requires standing for long periods, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching and stooping;
  • Must be able to lift and/or transport materials weighing up to 25 pounds, up to 10% of the time;
  • Must be able to tolerate normal office/pharmacy environment and exposure to various medications
