Job description

Round Mountain is an open-pit mine located in Nevada, one of the best mining jurisdictions in the world. The mine uses conventional open-pit mining methods and processes ore by mill and heap leach. Kinross began operating the mine in 2003, and it has since become a continuous improvement leader in the Company's portfolio. Round Mountain poured its 15 millionth ounce in 2018. Round Mountain and the nearby Bald Mountain mine make up Kinross' Nevada operations. 

The Round Mountain mine is an important contributor to the Nye County economy and, working with local stakeholders, has helped achieve significant improvements in healthcare and education in the area.

Job Description

Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for warehouse counter duties, and assists in shipping and receiving, materials handling, inventory controls, and other duties as assigned by the Supervisor while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect Kinross' values.

Job Responsibilities

1.    Handle material requests and issues at the warehouse counter based on established warehouse procedures. This will include knowledge of inventory locations and proper information input and handling.
2.    Rotation of  inventory
3.    Keeping shelves stocked and the receiving area clear.
4.    Sweep floors, dust the area, and maintain neat appearance inside and outside storage areas.
5.    Progressive training in the JD Edwards System, including issues, receiving and all materials handling functions.
6.    Assist in the shipping and receiving of materials.
7.    Assist in the surveillance of the warehouse and outside storage areas in loss prevention.
8.    Other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor.
9.    Helps develop other department personnel to perform duties listed above.
10.    Compliance with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety, environmental, confidentiality and code of conduct. 
11.    Filing Pick tickets and receivers.
12.    Consistently exercises discretion and judgment in job performance.
13.    Works without risk or harm to self and others. 
14.    Punctuality and regular attendance required.
15.    Perform other related functions as assigned by supervisor.
