What are the typical projects and responsibilities for a kinetic engineer?

As a Kinetic Engineer, you may work on projects involving the design and development of mechanisms or products that utilize or transform kinetic energy, such as in robotics, manufacturing automation, or energy harvesting devices. Your daily responsibilities often include creating design specifications, running simulations, coordinating with cross-functional engineering teams, and troubleshooting mechanical systems to optimize performance. You may also interact with clients or stakeholders to interpret requirements and provide progress updates. This role offers a dynamic and collaborative environment, allowing you to see projects through from concept to implementation while developing expertise in advanced mechanical and motion-based systems.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the kinetic position, and why are they important?

Kinetic Engineers typically require a background in mechanical or physical engineering, a strong grasp of motion dynamics, and a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. Familiarity with simulation software such as MATLAB, CAD tools, and project management platforms is often necessary. Creative problem-solving, teamwork, and attention to detail are important soft skills for excelling in this field. Mastery of these skills supports the design and optimization of systems and devices that rely on principles of kinetic energy, ensuring both innovation and operational efficiency.

  • Establish and maintain global standards for:
  • Statutory and management reporting structures
  • Continuously assess and enhance reporting frameworks to meet evolving business, regulatory, and analytics needs

Finance Systems Integration & Transformation

  • Ensure SAP and Kinetic are structured as robust, governed source systems
  • Beyond initial implementation, own the continuous optimization and stability of integrations between:
