Job description

If you are looking for an occasional or ongoing volunteer role helping homebound seniors maintain their independence, consider becoming a volunteer grocery Kindness Courier (Delivery Driver) for Store to Door.

We have several shifts open picking up at the Hollywood Fred Meyer on both Wednesdays and Thursdays delivering to NE, SE, N Portland. We also always need on-call drivers if that works better for your schedule.

THE DETAILS:

You’ll pick up the already-shopped groceries on Wednesday and/or Thursday between 10:30 and 12:30pm from the Hollywood Fred Meyer and deliver them to your clients using your own vehicle. We reimburse you .62.5 cents per mile. Deliveries take anywhere from 1-2 hours. You would be delivering to the same clients each week, so you'll have a chance to develop a relationship with your clients to help them avoid social isolation. All you need is a good driving record, a few hours each week, and a commitment to make a difference. Volunteers must be at least 18yrs and pass a background check.
