At Mad Science, we pay you to have fun! As a birthday/show performer, you'll launch rockets, create special effects with fog machine and dry ice, and help kids make their own slime.

Our innovative programs are as entertaining as they are educational!
Job Summary
  • As a Mad Science performer, you'll be the life of the party! Whether you're making memories at a kid's birthday or dazzling hundreds of students at a school assembly, you'll be bringing STEM to life with our exciting events.
  • Work depends on when events are booked and will generally be on the weekends and evenings or occasionally earlier on a weekday. You are free to set your own availability and accept or decline program offers depending on what works for you.
  • Pay starts $40 for birthday parties. On top of that, gratuities for birthday parties are not guaranteed but are frequent.
Responsibilities
  • Keep track of program schedule and details with our online calendar and automated emails
  • Attend trainings, scheduled around your availability, to make sure you are familiar and safe with Mad Science's lesson plans and materials
  • Put on exciting, high-energy shows for groups of kids and adults!
Qualifications
  • A reliable car
  • Some experience managing groups of children (teacher or classroom aide, camp counsellor, swim instructor, etc)
  • Some experience in performing or presenting to audiences (actor, lead teacher,
