The Khsaa (Kentucky High School Athletic Association) primarily oversees high school sports and requires coaches and staff to have specific certifications. Athletic Trainers, on the other hand, are healthcare professionals with specialized training in injury prevention and treatment. While both roles are involved in sports, Athletic Trainers have a healthcare focus, whereas Khsaa roles are more about coaching and sports management within schools.
