Voice & Keyboard Music Teacher at a Music School (Multi-Instrumentalists Welcome)Bach to Rock (B2R), America's Music School for students of all ages, is seeking an enthusiastic Voice and Keyboard/Piano Instructor to join our growing team at our new Lincoln, Nebraska, location.
We're looking for an educator who is passionate about helping students discover their musical potential through engaging, performance-based instruction. While voice and keyboard are our primary needs, candidates who teach additional instruments or musical disciplines are especially encouraged to apply.
At Bach to Rock, students don't just learn music—they perform it. Our curriculum combines strong musical fundamentals with the contemporary music students know and love, preparing them for private lessons, bands, recording sessions, performances, songwriting, and more.
Position Responsibilities
  • Teach private and semi-private voice and keyboard/piano lessons using the Bach to Rock curriculum.
  • Create engaging, encouraging, and well-organized lessons that inspire students of all ages and ability levels.
  • Build strong musical foundations through technique, musicianship, creativity, and performance.
  • Evaluate students for placement in bands, ensembles, and other group programs.
  • Participate in recitals, performances, camps, open houses, and other school events.
  • Collaborate with fellow instructors to provide an outstanding student experience.
  • Assist with basic equipment setup and care as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong proficiency teaching voice and keyboard/piano.
  • Additional teaching experience in guitar, ukulele, early childhood music, songwriting, music production, DJ, or other instruments is a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of music theory, technique, and performance practices.
  • Previous teaching experience with children, teens, and adults preferred.
  • Performance experience as a soloist or ensemble musician.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
  • Positive, energetic personality with a passion for helping students succeed.
  • Ability to work effectively with students of diverse ages, backgrounds, and learning styles.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check.
