Office Administration Intern Job Description (Christian Nonprofit)
Reports To: Office Manager / State Director
Location: Richmond, VA (State Office)
FLSA Status: NonExempt, Internship, Temporary
Schedule: Parttime, 1030 hours per week (flexible based on academic schedule)
Position Summary
The temporary Office Administration position provides administrative, organizational, and project-based support to the State office. This role is ideal for a student or earlycareer professional seeking handson experience in nonprofit operations, office administration, and ministry support in efforts to advance the mission of Child Evangelism Fellowship of Virginia, Inc.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support
  • Support the development and maintenance of organized office systems, including filing, scanning, and document management
  • Assist in the implementation of a new Customer Relation Management (CRM) system; limited to data entry, reporting, and tracking tools
  • Prepare mailings, packets, and printed materials for events and ministry programs
  • Answer phones, greet visitors, and provide general office hospitality
Communications & Coordination
  • Draft simple correspondence, reminders, and follow-up emails as directed
  • Assist with scheduling, calendar coordination, and meeting preparation
  • Help maintain accurate donor contact lists, volunteer records, and distribution lists withing the new CRM
Event & Ministry Support
  • Prepare materials for trainings, meetings, and ministry events
  • Assist with logistics such as room setup, sign in sheets, name tags, and supplies
  • Support donor mailings, thank you letters, and event follow-up tasks
Special Projects
  • Contribute to ongoing administrative improvement projects
  • Assist with organizing digital files and improving workflow systems
  • Support staff with research, documentation, or project tasks as assigned
Qualifications
  • Believe and sign the CEF Statement of Faith and Ministry Compliance Agreement
