Description

A successful candidate will support an assigned territory in the US Central Time Zone and work anywhere within this region. This will include representing West Fraser wood products within the new home, multi-family, and commercial construction markets. They will serve as a technical resource and product representative in their territory while building relationships with key customers and supporting the execution of marketing plans for the assigned territory.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

  • Establishing, managing, and maintaining customer relationships by ensuring excellent service and follow-up and by learning and supporting the customers’ business
  • Supporting the design and implementation of regional marketing programs with key pro-dealers, retail accounts, and builders that align with corporate sales and marketing objectives
  • Promoting new and existing products to contractor yards and builders
  • Developing product and program knowledge to support customers and internal teams in the marketplace
  • Build and maintain relationships with key pro-dealers, retail accounts, builders, and industrial customers
  • Provide responsive service, proactive follow-up, and continued learning about customer business models
  • Serve as a knowledgeable field representative and customer resource within the marketplace
  • Partner closely with inside sales, sales management, and marketing teams to achieve revenue objectives
  • Collaborate with the outside marketing team and support staff to share information and coordinate territory activities
  • Provide input to territory planning discussions and sales and marketing initiatives

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience in a marketing, sales, construction, or building products role
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of experience in a role related to home construction, building materials, sales, marketing, or a related field
  • Knowledge of construction and building materials
  • Solid planning, organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to gather, summarize, and report observations on product usage, trends, and competitive activity within the assigned geography
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including presentation skills
  • Strong technical aptitude and people skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
