Coopers Houston is recruiting an experienced Key Account Manager – North America for a leading international industrial manufacturing operation expanding its commercial presence across the United States.


This Key Account Manager job in Houston, Texas is an excellent opportunity for an experienced industrial sales professional who has a proven record of managing strategic B2B accounts, OEM customers, distributors, manufacturers, or electrical and industrial customers across North America.


The successful candidate will take ownership of major customer relationships and be responsible for sales growth, strategic account management, pricing, profitability, business development, and long-term customer partnerships throughout the U.S. market.



  • Develop and execute commercial strategies for strategic North American customer accounts.

  • Own sales budgets, pricing strategies, margins, forecasts, and account profitability.

  • Build and expand relationships with major OEMs, distributors, fabricators, manufacturers, and industrial customers.

  • Lead customer negotiations, quotations, contracts, pricing discussions, and new product introductions.

  • Identify new business opportunities and expand existing strategic accounts.

  • Develop business across electrification, power distribution, data centers, EV infrastructure, electrical infrastructure, and power grid markets.

  • Establish and maintain senior-level relationships with key customer decision-makers.

  • Serve as the primary commercial contact for strategic North American accounts.

  • Coordinate with Houston and international operations to ensure product quality, customer service, production planning, and on-time delivery.

  • Develop accurate sales forecasts and align customer commitments with production and supply chain capacity.

  • Monitor customer needs, market trends, competitive activity, and opportunities for additional revenue.

  • Collaborate with production, engineering, operations, supply chain, and company leadership.


Requirements
Key Account Manager Qualifications

  • 5–7+ years of experience in key account management, industrial sales, B2B sales, strategic sales, or business development.

  • Proven experience managing major OEM or strategic industrial accounts in North America.

  • Background in manufacturing, metals, copper, electrical components, industrial products, or related industries preferred.

  • Strong negotiation, pricing, forecasting, commercial strategy, and relationship-management skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop long-term relationships with senior-level customers and decision-makers.

  • Experience coordinating with manufacturing, operations, production, and supply chain teams.

  • Experience with ERP systems; SAP experience preferred.

  • Advanced Spanish preferred.

  • Ability to travel as required for customers and business development.
