Job description

Description

Position at CMI Media Group

About the Role

Are you a strategic leader who sits at the intersection of advanced analytics, audience insights, and business consulting? Can you look at complex data, quickly extract the "so-what," and confidently guide senior executive clients through real-time strategic decisions?

As the Vice President of Decision Sciences & Audience Strategy, you will lead a high-visibility team dedicated to translating sophisticated data into actionable business recommendations. This is not a back-room modeling role; it is a high-impact, client-facing leadership position. You will act as the key strategic translator, bridging the gap between deep analytics (audience insights, market insights, measurement) and executive-level business storytelling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Client Consulting & Strategy: Serve as the primary, real-time strategic advisor to senior clients, diagnosing business problems, identifying audience opportunities, and guiding their next steps using data-backed insights.
  • Translate Complex Analytics: Bridge the gap between technical data (measurement, modeling, and segmentation) and business-critical storytelling, delivering clear, "decision-ready" recommendations.
  • Oversee & Scale a High-Impact Team: Direct, mentor, and structure a growing team (including Associate Directors, Managers, and Analysts). Set performance standards and elevate the team's consultative capabilities.
  • Drive Capability Innovation: Evolve our audience intelligence and decision science offerings, identifying high-value use cases (incrementality, attribution, optimization, segmentation) that drive client growth.
  • Support Business Development: Partner with agency leadership on pitches and solutioning, positioning our analytics and strategy capabilities as a key differentiator.
Requirements
  • The "Translator" Profile: 8+ years of experience in analytics, business strategy, or management consulting, with a proven track record of managing high-touch client relationships.
  • Industry Experience: Direct experience in Pharmaceutical marketing (DTC or HCP) or highly regulated environments is strongly preferred. Familiarity with pharma data sources (e.g., IQVIA, Symphony, Purple Labs) is a major plus.
  • Strong Analytics Foundation: Deep conceptual understanding of marketing measurement, attribution, media optimization, and audience segmentation. (While you don't need to write code daily, you must confidently speak the language of data science and modeling).
  • Exceptional Communication: Master-level executive presence, business storytelling, and the ability to synthesize insights and pivot quickly in live client environments.
  • People Leadership: Proven success managing, structuring, and developing a team of mid-to-senior level analytics professionals.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., Statistics, Business Analytics, Economics, Marketing) is required; an advanced degree or MBA is a plus.

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $115,000 to $230,000. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications. We offer a competitive benefits package, please visit WPP Benefits for more details.
