What are Key Autism Services?

Key Autism Services is a provider of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). They offer personalized in-home and center-based therapy, focusing on improving communication, social, and daily living skills. Key Autism Services employs Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to create and implement treatment plans tailored to each client's needs. Their services aim to support children and families in achieving greater independence and quality of life.

What are some typical responsibilities of a Behavior Technician at Key Autism Services, and how does the role support clients and their families?

As a Behavior Technician at Key Autism Services, your primary responsibilities include implementing individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy plans, collecting data on client progress, and providing direct support to children with autism. You will work closely with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and collaborate with families to reinforce strategies in the home environment. The role involves both in-home and sometimes community-based sessions, requiring flexibility, patience, and strong communication skills to foster positive outcomes for clients and their families.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Behavior Technician at Key Autism Services, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Behavior Technician at Key Autism Services, you need knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), a high school diploma or bachelor's degree in a related field, and experience working with individuals with autism. Familiarity with ABA data collection software and, ideally, a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification are often required. Patience, strong communication, and a genuine passion for helping others are essential soft skills for building trust and rapport with clients and families. These skills ensure effective therapy implementation and positive outcomes for individuals receiving autism services.

About Key Autism Services

Sourced by ZipRecruiter

Key Autism provides services to children and adults throughout the states of Massachusetts, Georgia, North Carolina, Florida, Colorado, Illinois, and Texas. Services include programs for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other related conditions. We have been serving families since 2014. At Key we work as compassionate partners with individuals, families, case managers and other professionals to provide the level of support needed to improve the lives of the clients we serve. At Key Autism Services, all the autism treatment services we provide are guided by a common philosophy about the role of the family in a child's development. We strive to equip both the children and their families with necessary skills for strong, satisfying relationships with one another, because we know that learning happens best when it happens in the context of playful, reciprocal interactions with life partners. We believe family is the foundation for a child's development. Family is the ever-present guiding force in a child's life from the first breath through all the growing-up years. Family doesn't close for the holidays, go on vacation or call it quits at five o'clock. Family remains a persistent presence on a day-in, day-out basis, through all the seasons of the year, through all the years of childhood.
