Location of position: This is a remote position.
Job Duties
As our Sr Leader, Key Account Development, you will successfully act as a player-coach leadership model, directly managing complex, high-value accounts while providing guidance, coaching, and oversight to ensure consistent execution, best practices, and customer outcomes across the key account portfolio. The role drives account retention, growth, asset planning, and contract performance while supporting capability development and alignment across teams supporting similar customers. Lastly, you will be responsible for leading Core & Managed Key Account teams, including coaching, performance feedback, and account oversight.
You will bring 7+ years of progressive and successful experience in account management, service operations, or sales within the elevator or related industrial services industry to KONE. You will use the knowledge gained through your bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (minimum 10 years) in service sales, service operations, or technical account management roles.
Other Listed Duties
  • Serve as the primary contact for key accounts, overseeing customer satisfaction, retention, contract compliance, and business growth.
  • Present performance results, business recommendations, and account strategies to executive customers and internal leadership.
  • Analyze account performance, financial metrics, and market trends to identify risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
  • Coach and mentor sales team members on account planning, customer engagement, opportunity management, and solution-based selling.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to standardize account management practices, improve execution consistency, and strengthen customer relationships.

Other Hiring requirements
  • Demonstrated experience managing large, complex, multi site or national accounts.
  • Proven experience acting in a lead, mentor, or informal people leadership role (e.g., training, coaching, managing performance).
  • Experience influencing cross functional teams without direct authority.

Preferred Criteria
  • Prior experience leading national or enterprise customers.
  • Experience supporting or guiding multiple account managers or project managers.
  • Exposure to multi business line portfolio management.
  • Formal training in solution-based selling, account management, project management, or leadership development.

Annual Base Pay Range:
This role has been categorized as a remote position. Remote employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any location within the area of the role's scope of responsibility.
The national hiring range for this role is $183,800 - $241,185. The compensation package offered will depend on candidate's ability to meet the requirements of the role, needs for the business strategy, and a range of factors unique to each candidate, including their skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location.
We will also consider candidates in the following areas. Below are the different ranges applicable to those locations:
  • Lisle, IL area hiring range: $196,600 - $258,090.

Variable Compensation
KONE Annual Bonus plan at 25% Target Incentive (70/30) based on achievement of company goals and individual goals.
