Job description

Our Orthopedic Sports Medicine clinical & surgical practice, is seeking a full time Physician Assistant to join our Team & to work alongside a well respected surgeon.

Orthopedic Physician Assistant Job Duties:

  • Clinical Orthopedic Evaluations, exam and treat and surgical candidates.
  • Sports Medicine Operating Room Assistant, first assist.
  • On-call phone calls / weekend rotations (light call schedule).
  • Provides commentary and information pertinent to patient care.
  • Implements physician directives.
  • Assesses patient health by interviewing patients and performing physical examination (including obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories).
  • Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic test, such as X-rays, MRI's and laboratory studies and by interpreting test results.
  • Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
  • Performs therapeutic procedures by administering injections, suturing, and managing wounds and infections.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
