QC Laboratory Technician

Location: Conley, GA
Pay Rate: $26.25/hour
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire with potential to become permanent
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Shift: Rotating between 1st and 2nd shift, approximately every 6 months

  • 1st Shift: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 6:00 PM–4:30 AM

Important: Candidates must be willing and able to work both shifts. The schedule is expected to rotate approximately every six months, but flexibility to work either shift is required based on business needs.

Position Overview

The QC Laboratory Technician supports sample collection, routine quality control testing, and daily laboratory operations in a regulated environment. This is a hands-on laboratory position requiring strong attention to detail, accurate documentation, and compliance with GMP, GLP, FDA, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform QC testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
  • Conduct chemical testing, including:
    • pH
    • Conductivity
    • Osmolality
    • Raw material identity
    • Buffer and component verification
  • Perform physical testing, including visual inspections, particulate testing, viscosity, weight, and volume verification.
  • Operate laboratory instrumentation and LIMS to collect, record, and analyze data.
  • Perform routine analytical assays using biological and chemical principles.
  • Complete routine testing and special projects accurately and within established timelines.
  • Perform equipment maintenance, calibration, and routine performance checks.
  • Accurately document test results and maintain laboratory records.
  • Follow SOPs and comply with FDA, GLP, GMP, and other applicable requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a safe, clean, and organized laboratory.
Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field preferred.
  • Previous laboratory experience is required, preferably in QC, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or manufacturing environments.
  • Working knowledge of FDA, GLP, and GMP requirements.
  • Experience with laboratory instrumentation and LIMS.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
  • Must be comfortable working around chemicals.
Additional Requirements
  • Must be available to work both 1st and 2nd shifts.
  • Shift rotation is expected approximately every six months, but flexibility is required in case business needs prevent the normal rotation.
