Kelly Science and Clinical FSP is currently seeking a Sr. Project Manager for a long-term engagement in Petersburg, VA with one of our Global Pharmaceutical clients. This position is office based. This person will join our Kelly FSP (Functional Service Provider) division, a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc.
Our new Petersburg, Virginia site marks a strategic move to advance our capabilities in Emerging Technologies (ET) within Chemical API development and production. The highly experienced site is designed to strengthen and accelerate our Small Molecule (SMOL) strategy while amplifying our operational capacity. This is to safeguard and support ETs SMOL projects in the coming years, aligning with our vision and strengthening our potential for growth and innovation.
The Position
The Project Management Office (PMO) in driving investment projects across the project organization. This role supports the Project Management (PM) Team on execution as well as initiating & maturing initiatives individually. Drive projects and create robust cost plans & tracking systems. Complete assigned projects & project tasks within given parameters. Act as lead for responsibilities in the PMO group including building project portfolio cashflow, projections, linking project costs, & financial reports.
We are hiring two individuals for this role, and are open to hiring at the Project Manager II level, commensurate with necessary experience.

Senior Manager or Director.
Essential Functions
  • Work under the direction of the Senior Project Manager or Manager, Project Management to support the planning, coordination, & evaluation of project reporting
  • Works with subject matter experts to identify opportunities that focus on key procurement metrics, cost reductions, risk mitigation, & industry supply trends
  • Maintain financial reports for individual project subtasks & provide roll-up reports that summarize the subtasks
  • Assists with reviewing funding availability & procurement documentation to ensure conformance to approved project budgets
  • Assist with facilitating change management processes to ensure changes are processed in an accurate & timely manner
  • Participate in development of project estimates, budgets, forecasts and estimates to complete
  • Maintain weekly cost reports; evaluating actual & forecasted costs against budgets & detailed analysis
  • Assist with performing earned value analysis, align changes in schedule milestone delivery with cost impacts
  • Participate in continuous process improvement via cLEAN
  • Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
  • Other duties, as assigned
