Job Summary
Effectively sell, service and merchandise all assigned accounts in a professional manner in order to maximize sales across entire footprint. Establish relationship with the retailer as a "partner/ consultant." Ultimately sharing the responsibility for rotation, positioning, delivery and merchandising of all products the Company represents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Aggressively strive to maximize all sales opportunities of brands, packages and available promotional allowances. Expected to achieve sales results (Sales Objectives, Volume Plan, Distribution Goals and Monthly Business Objectives) that meet or exceed Company averages for all domestic, specialty and import suppliers.
  2. Establish and implement effective daily and weekly pre-plans that will ensure KEG 1 standards are met in the market.
  3. Develop working relationship with decision maker in all assigned accounts by instituting a defined sales call schedule. Use the Retail Account Management Process to identify account-specific opportunities, including but not limited to displays, permanent point of sale, merchandising, product placement and promotion.
  4. Maintain distribution at required levels, set by supervisor, for all suppliers and assigned core sku's. Participate in all monthly distribution initiatives.
  5. Constantly monitor beer department in all assigned accounts, looking for opportunities to increase sales and distribution through point of sale, shelf space management and positioning (including single tubs, coolers, hot shelves and storage facilities).
  6. Service all assigned accounts in a timely, thorough and professional manner. Do not leave the account until all required tasks are completed to Company standard.
  7. Keep all point of sale current in conjunction with each Supplier Marketing Plan in assigned accounts. Assigned accounts should be prioritized from highest volume down to telsell accounts.
  8. Ensure product freshness at retail. Responsible for understanding and complying with all Quality Assurance guidelines and policies of KEG 1 and its suppliers.
  9. Rotate product and hang permanent point of sale.
  10. Execute promotions at night and on weekends in on premise accounts, if account responsibility includes on premise locations.
  11. Utilize Pattern Control Selling Process to maximize selling opportunities and act as a "partner/consultant" to retailer. Maintain a planner with current pricing and promotional information. Additionally, sell sheets, monthly sales plan, alpha lists and other requisite information should be maintained with accurate data. Be an active participant in all segments of monthly sales, distribution and display initiatives, with the goal of achieving established objectives and growing business. Continuously search for new sales and distribution opportunities.
  12. Set daily objective by account, relative to display opportunities, distribution, point of sale, etc. Strive to grow business by adding value to the products sold; be a "partner/consultant" not an "order taker."
  13. Follow established order transmission schedule to ensure efficient warehouse, delivery, sales and retail functions. All tracking forms and paperwork must be accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
  14. Assume responsibilities, i.e. run route, in the absence of the regularly assigned Account Manager.
  15. Maintain open and clear communications with the owners, managers, and other employees of the Company.

  17. Conduct all activities in accordance with local, state, and federal liquor control regulations.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
