Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Lead Radiographic Technologist at Keesler Air Force Base, in Biloxi, Mississippi.
This contract position offers:
  • Full-time opportunity | Emphasis on work-life balance
  • Monday - Friday No weekends 7:30 am - 4:00 pm

  • Opportunity to work with active military and their families

Clinical Scope:
  • Oversee scheduling for daily simulation and treatment operations. Identify areas for improvement, develop plans, and coordinate implementation to ensure high standards of professional performance.
  • Coordinate treatment machine assignments for treatment therapists so that staffing is adequate to meet patient needs.
  • Participate in Radiation Therapy and Medical Physics Quality Assurance/Risk Management program.
  • Provide information regarding both operating and capital needs for simulation and therapist sections, including billing and coding data.
  • Assist Chief of Radiation Oncology develop standards for therapist productivity and monitor workload for adherence to those standards.
  • Ensure orderliness and cleanliness of Radiation Oncology Clinic. Maintain Radiation Oncology Clinic compliance with infection control program requirements as outlined in Medical Group Instructions (MDGIs).
  • Ensure Radiation Oncology Clinic supplies are adequately stocked and coordinate the proactive ordering of supplies as necessary.

Position Requirements:
  • Active Mississippi License
  • Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Degree/Education: Radiographic Technologist (LEAD RADIATION THERAPIST). shall have a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in a physical, radiological, biological science, or engineering field from an accredited educational institution be a graduate from a JRCERT accredited radiation therapist training program
  • BLS Certification
