Description:
The Mechanical Assembler 2nd Shift is responsible for mechanical assemblies and subassemblies for various clutch, brake and gearmotor product lines. The days and hours for 1st Shift are Monday through Friday, 6 am-2:30 pm. Overtime occurs as needed. The pay for this position is $18+/hr. What will you do as a Mechanical Assemblers:
ยท Set up sheets and read blueprints
ยท Pick hardware items
ยท Assemble, fit, and install parts to form subassemblies and final assemblies
ยท Set up and operate machines, testers and cranes
ยท Mount and position materials
ยท Install connectors, plus, wire guides, and more
ยท Prepare epoxy
ยท Cut semi-finished parts
ยท Solder
ยท Paint
ยท Cycle counting
ยท Package some products
ยท Perform various types of testing
ยท Assist other departments
ยท Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
ยท Basic computer skills
ยท Basic math skills (standard and metric)
ยท Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools
ยท Ability to follow work instructions accurately
ยท Ability to do accurate work at a rapid pace
ยท Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (written and verbal)
ยท Ability to work well independently as well as with others
ยท Have attention to detail
ยท Ability to multi-task
ยท Ability to proficiently read and write in English

ยท Basic understanding of inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.)

ยท Ability to operate pallet jack
