Job description

We are looking to add new talent to our growing team! We arecurrently seeking a Project Manager, Civil/Environmental Engineer orGeologist to work in a technical support role with highly skilledprofessionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. This is anexcellent opportunity to join a growing group and company and get involved in avariety of projects for a diverse range of clients. This is a full-time position located in our Lenexa, KS office.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position, you will:

  •  Oversee day-to-day management of project teams with a focus on project delivery, quality, financial performance, and health and safety.
  • Ensure projects are executed to meet project, client, and regulatory objectives.
  • Lead all aspects of the project life cycle including cost estimating and proposal preparation, scheduling, subcontracting, resourcing, project planning, execution, document preparation and review, and financial management.
  • Collaborate closely with the project team, supporting field teams, providing oversight, and observing health and safety processes and procedures.
  • Regularly and effectively communicate with clients, partners, subcontractors, regulators and other stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Superfund processes including remediation investigations, feasibility studies, and remedial action plans
  • Familiarity with Kansas Department of Health & Environment (KDHE) regulations
  • Lead project technical assessments and design efforts or tasks, including model development, field implementation of bench-scale and field pilot studies, remedial action plans, remedial system installation and O&M, permitting, design and contract package development, and construction procurement support on environmental projects.
  • Coach, mentor, and support staff to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure high-quality execution of project tasks, technical reports, and deliverables.
  • Plan and manage field investigations, including pre-design data collection and/or pilot testing data collection programs.
  • Plan all work in accordance with company and client health and safety protocols.
  • Demonstrate the company's foundational safety behaviors.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related field.
  • 8+ years of related experience.
  • Professional registration or certification, as applicable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to independently lead project teams to achieve project and client goals and objectives.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and financial acumen.
  • Proficient computer literacy skills including use of the Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint) and the ability to learn various software needed to support financial management, diverse project needs, and client requirements.
  • Environmental engineering experience that spans the entire project life cycle.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks pertinent to the work, including KDHE.

Preferred Skills:

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related field.
  • 2+ years of related project management, financial management, or task management experience.
  • Experience with Superfund sites and KDHE regulations.
  • Demonstrated competency and understanding of soil, groundwater and air treatment technologies.
  • Design and construction experience with environmental remediation projects.
  • OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training and refresher updates desirable.
