Job description

See Beyond the Image. Make a Difference. Be Part of the Patient's Journey.

Kiowa District Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiologic Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team.

At KDH, our Radiologic Technologists play an essential role in patient care by providing high-quality diagnostic imaging that helps providers diagnose, treat, and care for patients. More than just taking images, you'll be a trusted member of the healthcare team, helping patients feel comfortable and cared for during some of their most vulnerable moments.

If you're looking for a position that offers variety, professional growth, meaningful patient interaction, and the opportunity to utilize a broad range of imaging skills, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using stationary and portable radiographic equipment.
  • Obtain high-quality images while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and dignity.
  • Perform routine radiographic examinations, including trauma and surgical procedures.
  • Assist with CT and DEXA imaging procedures according to department protocols.
  • Safely prepare and position patients to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
  • Follow radiation safety standards and ALARA principles to ensure patient and staff safety.
  • Prepare and administer contrast agents within the scope of practice and applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
  • Assist with scheduling exams, coordinating imaging services, and communicating with patients.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within imaging systems.
  • Perform quality control activities and assist in maintaining imaging equipment and department operations.
  • Help fulfill KDH's mission of providing Quality C.A.R.E. Close to Home.
Why KDH?Meaningful Work

Every image you capture plays an important role in helping providers diagnose and treat patients. Your expertise directly impacts patient care and helps ensure our community has access to high-quality healthcare close to home.

Variety in Your Practice

Unlike many larger facilities where technologists may perform only one type of imaging, KDH offers the opportunity to utilize a broad range of skills. From routine imaging and emergency cases to CT, DEXA, portable exams, and surgical procedures, every day brings new experiences and opportunities to grow.

Patient-Focused Care

At KDH, you'll have the opportunity to build meaningful connections with patients while providing compassionate care and helping ease anxiety during the imaging process.

Collaborative Team Environment

Our Radiology Department works closely with providers, nurses, laboratory staff, and other departments throughout the organization. You'll be part of a supportive team committed to delivering exceptional patient care.

Professional Growth

We encourage continuing education and professional development, allowing you to expand your knowledge, strengthen your skills, and stay current with advances in imaging technology and patient care.

Exceptional Benefits

KDH offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Free childcare through our on-site childcare center
  • Paid maternity leave
  • Paid paternity leave
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Retirement plan with employer match
  • Paid time off
  • Paid holidays
  • Employee wellness benefits
  • Continuing education and professional development opportunities
What We're Looking For
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Current ARRT certification in good standing.
  • Licensed by the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts or eligible for licensure.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Strong technical, communication, and patient care skills.
  • Commitment to radiation safety and quality imaging practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • CT experience preferred but not required.
