Essential Functions:
  • Use specialty measuring equipment to test industrial HVAC units.
  • Troubleshoot electrical/mechanical/refrigeration issues.
  • Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.
  • Change out refrigerant tanks and other gases.
  • Working knowledge of electrical schematics and electro-mechanical components.
  • Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. without the use of lifting equipment.
  • Must have a working knowledge of brazing equipment and common hand tool use including measuring equipment.
  • Perform pre-test unit inspections.
  • Complete unit paperwork and QC checklist.
  • Work involves varying degrees of precision and control where damage could be caused by lack of required skill.
  • Report defective equipment to Supervisor.

Safety Responsibilities:
  • Gain knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation as well as plant safety rules to perform duties safely and in compliance with all KCC rules and regulations.
  • Participate in toolbox talks & monthly training.
  • Take every reasonable precaution for the protection of your coworkers.
  • Take immediate action to address unsafe acts or conditions and report issues to management.
  • Assist in accident investigations (as needed) to identify the root cause in a timely manner.
  • Complete accident and incident reports (near miss) in a timely manner.
