KCC is seeking a driven individual with a passion for safety to help drive KCC towards world class safety performanceon 2 nd shift.Shift time will be from2:00 PM–11:00PMMonday thru Fridaywith some variances according to the production schedule.

Essential Functions:
  • Educate and communicateKCC safety policies/procedures.
  • Participate in the development of short andlong-termsafetygoals.
  • Present training modules for small and large groups.
  • Participate insafety committeesto drive shop floor safety presence.
  • Facilitate root cause investigations for all reported incidents, no matter how minor, in unison with shop floor leadership.
  • Complete all required inspections and drive closure to findings.
  • Complete site hazard analysis through the JSA program.
  • Assistwith proper disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
  • Develop relationships with professional organizations and vendors.
  • Participate ingovernment agency inspections.
  • Work off shift hours and respond to calls when needed.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by the EHSManager.
Requirements:
  • 1-5years of safety experience in a manufacturingsetting or constructionsetting.
  • Bachelor’s degree inoccupational safety and health.
  • Must have experience working in a team environment.
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust to a changing work environment.
Preferred:
  • Training experience
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand from six (6) to eight (8) hours per day.
  • Ability to perform activities including bending,stooping, standing, liftingup-to50 lbs.
  • Follow established safety policies including, but not limited to, mobile equipment, PPE, emergency response, HAZCOM, first-aid response, etc.
