Job description

As a Kava Bar Team Member, you’ll be the face of The Root Kava Co. Your primary responsibility is to create a positive experience for every guest who walks through our door. Whether you’re preparing and serving drinks, chatting with regulars, or keeping the bar tidy and running smoothly, you’ll help maintain the welcoming, peaceful energy that sets us apart.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve kava and botanical teas with accuracy and care

• Greet and engage with customers in a friendly, knowledgeable way

• Maintain cleanliness and organization behind the bar and in the lounge area

• Restock inventory and supplies as needed

• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines

• Assist with opening/closing procedures

• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment

Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years old

• Previous experience in hospitality, food & beverage, or customer service is a plus (but not required—we’re happy to train the right person)

• Reliable, punctual, and proactive

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude

• Excellent communication and people skills

• Interest in plant-based wellness, kava, or alternative beverages is a bonus!
