Conexon is a rapidly growing telecommunications company partnering with Rural Electric Cooperatives to design and deploy advanced fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) networks nationwide. The Utility Distribution Engineer II performs independent pole loading analysis and make-ready evaluations. This role is responsible for producing NESC-compliant clearance packages independently.


Location: Hybrid- in office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

Job Type: Full- time

Schedule: Fixed

Overtime: No

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Requirements

  • Experience performing PLA and clearance evaluations
  • Working knowledge of NESC requirements
  • Proficiency in Katapult and IKE PoleForeman


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform make-ready evaluations and develop proposed pole solutions to provide NESC-compliant clearance for fiber attachments
  • Conduct pole loading analysis using approved engineering software
  • Assemble clearance packagell necessary supporting documents
  • Coordinate with staking teams to ensure accurate pole data input
  • Support schedule tracking and weekly production reporting
  • Perform Katapult review and corrections to ensure clearance package accuracy
  • Operates independently with minimal supervision on standard pole configurations
  • Produce NESC-compliant clearance packages independently
  • Meet assigned production targets
  • Maintain accuracy standards with minimal rework
  • Additional duties as assigned

  • Majority of time spent on the computer and phone
