    Summary/Objective:

    The Social Worker assists patients, families and primary caregivers in adjusting to illness and grief, resolving personal, financial and environmental issues that occur with expected death, and provides grief counseling according to individual family, and primary caregiver needs.

    The Ideal Candidate Will Possess the FollowingRequirements:

    • Master's degree in Social Work required, with motivation to work with the dying and bereaved.
    • Minimum one (1) year post Master's professional experience in Social Work required; prior experience working in a medical Social Work and/or Community Based program preferred
    • Prior, relevant experience providing grief counseling or social work services in a hospice setting preferred.
    • Ability to demonstrate clinical judgment and decision making based on knowledge of social work practices, techniques, and ethics.
    • Valid, unencumbered Social Work licensure (LMSW) in Kansas and Missouri required.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required; working knowledge of Google Suite, preferred.
    • Prior working knowledge of Electronic Medical Systems (EMRs) required; prior experience with Suncoast preferred
