Job description

Turn Momentum Into Mastery

At FlexScreen/RiteScreen in Fargo, ND, we make window and door screens for customers nationwide—and we’re growing. We’re searching for a coach-on-the-floor who will transform a value stream through Lean principles, disciplined execution, and people-first leadership.

Your Mission

Own the performance of a dedicated value stream—safety, quality, delivery, and cost—by being present at Gemba, developing people, and using data to drive improvement.

How You’ll Make Impact

Lean & Continuous Improvement

  • Embed continuous improvement mindsets and routines across the value stream.
  • Lead kaizen events; teach standard work and structured problem-solving.
  • Remove waste to boost efficiency and profitability.
  • Apply root-cause methods to achieve production goals.

Floor Leadership

  • Plan, prioritize, and rebalance daily labor and schedules to meet demand.
  • Track productivity, quality, safety, and delivery; identify gaps and implement corrective countermeasures.
  • Conduct frequent Gemba walks; keep visual management boards accurate and useful.
  • Ensure every team member is trained in standard work, quality checks, and safe procedures.

Team Development

  • Set clear expectations; coach, develop, and hold people accountable.
  • Delegate effectively, rotate tasks, and foster a resilient, cross-trained team.
  • Work with HR and site leadership on both performance improvement and recognition.

Labor & Timekeeping

  • Review, code, and approve ADP timecards on time each week; resolve issues before submission.
  • Maintain timekeeping compliance and balanced staffing; approve PTO appropriately.
  • Partner with HR/recruiting to communicate hourly staffing needs and monitor attendance/headcount.

Safety Stewardship

  • Model safe work, deliver/oversee safety training and audits, and enforce rigorous safety practices.

Communication & Visibility

  • Present metrics and insights using Excel and PowerPoint to internal and external audiences.
  • Lead plant tours; engage with customers and suppliers as needed.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field—or 3–5 years of manufacturing leadership.
  • Proven Lean background with quality and problem-solving expertise.
  • Data-driven approach, strong project management, and team coaching ability.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational strength in fast-paced environments.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and discretion with sensitive information.
Why You’ll Thrive Here

We’re a multi-state manufacturer that treats builders like partners and our people like difference-makers. In Fargo, you’ll see your decisions move the numbers and the culture—every single day.
