What is a Kaiser Urgent Care RN job?

A Kaiser Urgent Care RN is a registered nurse who provides immediate medical care to patients with non-life-threatening conditions in a Kaiser Permanente urgent care setting. To excel as a Kaiser Urgent Care RN, you need a current RN license, strong clinical assessment skills, the ability to perform urgent care procedures, and knowledge of triage protocols. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs), experience with diagnostic equipment, and current BLS/ACLS certifications are typically required. Excellent communication, teamwork, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are highly valued in this fast-paced environment. These competencies are vital to ensure effective patient care, timely interventions, and smooth operation of the urgent care team.

The work environment is highly collaborative, with nurses playing a central role in patient education and discharge planning. Shifts may include weekends or evenings, offering flexibility but also requiring adaptability to varied patient volumes.
