Job description

Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking a compassionate and driven Full-Time Registered Nurse to join our Adult Intensive Services team, working five 8-hour weekday shifts (Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM) while making a meaningful impact in the lives of adults experiencing severe and persistent mental illness and substance use disorders. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, client-centered nursing care within a dynamic division that provides daily, specialized support while helping individuals maintain vital connections to their families and communities. You’ll thrive in a collaborative yet autonomous environment, partnering with multidisciplinary teams and navigating complex systems to support recovery and stability. Salary for this role. Starting wage is based on licensure and company equity. Paid bi-weekly. 

  • $36.56 - $44.00 hourly

Bilingual Language Differential Pay. Employees who successfully pass a language assessment are eligible to receive bilingual differential pay. This differential is provided as a fixed amount of $3,000 per calendar year, paid on a biweekly basis across 26 pay periods, and prorated based on hire date and fulltime equivalency (FTE). Eligibility and payment are subject to the language requirements of the position and the employee’s demonstrated proficiency in the language. 

Essential Functions:

  • Support the clinical functions of the medical team (completing all medical orders and communicating vital patient care information to physician/prescriber).
  • Perform nursing interventions for which an RN has been trained.
  • Observe, identify and monitor condition of patient, including changes in symptoms, and relates same to appropriate members of the treatment team.
  • Administer injections and medications, as required.
  • Provide medical case management and other clinical interventions, as appropriate.
  • Act as liaison to outside agencies and providers to ensure continuity of care for patients.
  • Provide assistance in crisis intervention, as needed.
  • In a timely manner, accurately and completely chart interventions, lab results, medications dispensed and all activities related to patient interactions according to organization's procedures.
  • Complete required education and training in a timely manner.
  • Provide information to credentialing, payroll, etc. in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and coordinate care for assigned clients in partnership with the other members of the client's care team.

Requirements:

  • Associate's in Nursing required. A bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • Colorado Registered Nurse Licensure Requirement: Per Colorado BHA regulations, you must hold an active Colorado RN license before providing any client services. Out-of-state multi-state or compact licenses are not sufficient.
  • Must possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain one within 30 days of hire.
  • Preferred: one year of relevant clinical experience.
  • Ability to administer medications and injections.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills.
  • Effective organizational skills.
  • Effective problem solving skills.
  • Ability to take directives
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn/utilize electronic health record.

Required Vaccinations and TB Test.

AMHR has prioritized the health and safety of our clients and staff and requires all employees to receive an annual influenza (flu) shot and receive a negative TB test results prior to their first day of hire. Proof of the flu vaccination and a negative TB test will be required upon your first day of employment. Medical and religious exemptions may be requested.
