Salary:  $60,000-$65,000

Job Summary

Ready to spice up your career and lead with purpose? Chartwells K12 is on the hunt for a high-energy, people-loving Director of Dining Services to take charge of school dining across North Central Parke Schools located in Rockville, IN.  You’ll be the heartbeat of food service for over 1,300 students across four schools, building a positive culture from the ground up, and jumping in wherever needed, from training and team-building to HR and finances (yes, even invoicing!). This role is boots-on-the-ground and client-facing, so you’ll need to be comfortable taking the lead and passionate about being visible, hands-on, and fully engaged. If you are a strong leader with a knack for numbers, a passion for people, and a love for food that fuels futures—plus, you’re into no nights, weekends, or holidays—this is your moment. 

Key Responsibilities:
•    Lead, mentor, and inspire a solid frontline associates 
•    Drive critical initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and increase profitability.
•    Recruit, train, and develop top talent within the organization.
•    Oversees the annual budget and control costs.
•    Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and sanitation standards.
•    Build strong relationships with clients, customers, and associates. 
•    Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient functioning of a dining service operation.

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Minimum of an Associate's degree in Food Services/Management/Hospitality/Culinary/Nutrition necessary or equivalent experience preferred.**
•    Three plus years of foodservice management experience, prefers K12.
•    Knowledge of high-volume food production is preferred.
•    Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed services experience.
•    Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
•    Proficiency in computer skills.
