Job description

Base salary starts at $15.73/hr.

E S S E N T I A L  F U N C T I O N S

  •  Visits with each patient to take their order, helping the patient follow the prescribed diet order.
  •  Assists with tray assembly, delivers trays to patients, and picks up trays.
  •  Records calorie count information and charts meal intake.
  •  Assists the kitchen as needed.
  •  Other duties as assigned.

E D U C A T I O N

  •  High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

E X P E R I E N C E

  •  At least one (1) year food handling and customer service experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or clinical setting preferred.

C R E D E N T I A L S 

  •  Must have current, valid BLS certification or must obtain within 60 days of hire and must maintain credential throughout employment with IMH.

K N O W L E D G E,  S K I L L S  A N D  A B I L I T I E S   

  •  Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  •  Must be detail oriented with excellent organization skills.
  •  Must have proficient computer skills.
  •  Must have the ability to learn how to chart oral intake of meals in the Electronic Medical Record.
  •  Must have the ability to obtain Diet Orders and RSA reports from the Electronic Medical Record.
  •  Must have the ability to complete therapeutic diet training and attend monthly diet education in-services.
  •  Must demonstrate knowledge of hospital therapeutic diet orders.
