K&R Tire, a locally-owned group of companies in West Michigan, is seeking a dedicated Agriculture & Commercial Tire Technician to join our dynamic team. With five strategic locations in Grand Rapids, Holland, Kalamazoo, Lansing, and Muskegon, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service to our customers. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in diverse environments, from farms to construction sites, ensuring the safety and efficiency of our clients' vehicles.   • Dismount, mount, and repair commercial truck tires 
  • Inspect vehicles using company-provided equipment, including racks and hoists
  • Perform onsite tire installation and repair services at customer and farmer locations
  • Ensure the safe operation of company vehicles, adhering to all traffic regulations
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Maintain a clean work environment and properly care for equipment
  • Participate in training sessions and adhere to safety procedures and company policies
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers
  • Work as a team member in the shop for customer tire needs 
Qualifications
  • Experience with farm/OTR/heavy-duty/commercial tires
  • Knowledge of farm and off-the-road tires and the mounting processes
  • Ability to lift, pull, or push tires weighing between 30-250 lbs
  • Proficiency in mounting large equipment tires with or without mechanical assistance
  • Capability to safely change and repair commercial/farm tires in all weather conditions
  • Knowledge of farm equipment and tires
  • Ability to be on an on call roation for 24hr service
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong time management abilities
  • Basic computer skills
