Job description

Former Athlete? Competitor? Future Owner?

Get Paid to Compete Again.

Team Leader | Junk King

Path to Ownership Opportunity

You didnโ€™t train for years just to end up sitting behind a desk, watching the clock, and wondering where the competition went.

You know what it means to show up early, push through fatigue, lead under pressure, hold teammates accountable, and find a way to win.

Now bring that same mindset to a business where effort, leadership, toughness, and performance actually pay off.

At Junk King, weโ€™re building a team of former athletes, competitors, and high-output leaders who want more than a paycheck. This is a fast-paced, physical, customer-facing leadership role with a real path to growth โ€” and for the right person, a path to ownership.

This is not just a โ€œjunk removal job.โ€

This is operations. Sales. Leadership. Customer service. Logistics. Problem-solving. Team execution. Revenue generation.

Every day is different. Every job has a scoreboard. Every customer experience matters. Every team member has the opportunity to separate themselves.

If you miss being part of a team, competing for results, and being held to a high standard, this may be the opportunity youโ€™ve been looking for.

Why Former Athletes and Competitors Thrive Here

Youโ€™ll Compete Again

Youโ€™ll be measured on performance, customer experience, reviews, efficiency, teamwork, and results. High performers earn more, grow faster, and get more responsibility.

Youโ€™ll Stay Active

This is not a desk job. Youโ€™ll move, lift, drive, lead, hustle, and stay physically engaged throughout the day.

Youโ€™ll Lead a Team

Youโ€™ll work side by side with people who value effort, accountability, communication, and toughness. The best team members donโ€™t just do the job โ€” they elevate the people around them.

Youโ€™ll Learn How Business Really Works

Weโ€™ll train you in the skills that matter if you want to grow:

Leadership

Customer communication

Sales and negotiation

Logistics and operations

Truck management

Team accountability

Problem-solving under pressure

Revenue and performance tracking

The same traits that made you successful in sports can help you move fast here: discipline, coachability, resilience, competitiveness, and leadership.

Youโ€™ll Have a Path Forward

We are looking for people who want responsibility, not comfort.

If you prove you can lead people, create great customer experiences, drive results, and operate with ownership, there is a path to bigger opportunities inside the business.

For the right person, that can include a path to ownership.

What Youโ€™ll Do

As a Junk King Team Leader, youโ€™ll:

Drive a company truck to residential and commercial job sites

Lead your team through daily jobs

Remove furniture, appliances, construction debris, equipment, and more

Communicate directly with customers

Provide estimates and collect payment

Solve problems in real time

Create a five-star customer experience

Compete to improve team performance every day

No two days are the same.

One day you may be clearing out an estate. The next day you may be helping a business remove equipment, supporting a contractor, or handling a time-sensitive cleanout.

Every job requires teamwork, hustle, communication, and the ability to perform under pressure.

Youโ€™ll Be a Strong Fit If You Areโ€ฆ

A former college athlete, high-level high school athlete, competitor, or natural team leader

Physically capable and willing to work hard

Comfortable being coached and held accountable

Competitive, dependable, and mentally tough

A strong communicator with customers and teammates

Interested in business, leadership, or future ownership

Able to lift 75 lbs independently

Licensed to drive with a solid driving record

Available on weekends

We are not looking for people who want to do the minimum.

We are looking for people who want to win.

What Success Looks Like Here

You show up early and bring energy

You lead by example

You communicate clearly

You take care of customers

You protect the team standard

You solve problems instead of making excuses

You compete to improve every day

You treat the business like it matters โ€” because it does

Requirements

Must be 18+ years old

Valid driverโ€™s license required

Must be able to lift 75 lbs independently

Weekend availability required

Strong work ethic required

Coachability required

Pay

$20โ€“$30/hour depending on experience

Plus opportunities for bonuses and tips

High performers can earn more through great customer experiences, strong reviews, efficient jobs, and team results.

Ready for Your Next Team?

If you miss competition, want to stay active, enjoy being part of a high-standard team, and want a real path to leadership and ownership, we want to meet you.

This is for the person who still has another level to reach.

Apply today to join Junk King.
