Job description

The WEB Systems Team is seeking a Front End Web Designer/Developer that will support ongoing UX design, front-end development, and maintenance needs for enterprise web application and website solutions.
The candidate will be required to come on-site on the first day to collect equipment. All candidates must be local to the Triangle region of North Carolina. This position may require on-site attendance when business needs require in-person participation, such as scheduled meetings or other task-specific activities.
The WEB Systems Team is seeking a Front End Web Designer/Developer to support UX design and front-end development for enterprise web applications and websites. Demand for solution requests from business users is increasing and includes support for business processes such as SharePoint reporting, ServiceNow design, SAP design, and Drupal-based digital solutions for ferry automation and motor vehicle services.
The primary focus of this role is to build and support accessible web UI components and ensure user experience consistency across enterprise web solutions.
These responsibilities are essential to ensure that critical web applications remain accessible, consistent, and properly supported. Without this supplemental staffing, growing UX and front-end demands may outpace capacity, delay key business processes, and reduce service quality.
Role / Responsibilities:
  • Create, update, and refresh web components and user interface prototypes
  • Build HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript in an accessible manner for content management systems and enterprise platforms
  • Collaborate across teams to maintain user interface consistency
  • Conduct training sessions/webinars for business users on created applications, sites, and tools
