Your Role:

We are currently seeking a Junior Human Factors Engineer for our Pickering, Ontario office. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

 

Responsibilities:

         Human Factors (HF) apply the knowledge of human capabilities and limitations to the design of systems and equipment.

         Human Factors Engineering ensures that the system and design are compatible with the sensory, perceptual, cognitive and physical attributes of the personnel who operate, maintain and support the system. 

         HF work as part of multi-discipline teams to analyze information and evaluate existing and proposed designs under the following frameworks: CNSC G-276, CNSC G-278, NUREG 0711 and CSA N290.12.

Qualifications:

         University degree in Engineering or Science specializing in Human Factors in design or systems engineering is considered as asset

         1-2 years of Human Factors design or systems engineering experience

         Strong technical, analytical writing and presentation skills

         Expert in MS Word and MS Excel

         Well developed communication, planning, and work organization skills.

         Ability to work in an integrated team environment, and to effectively interface with employees at all levels, and external customers

         Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable and work under tight schedules in a fast-paced environment

         Must be able to obtain a security clearance

The expected annual compensation range for this position is $80,000 to $105,000 per annum. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining compensation, including but not limited to education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.

Additional Information

A requirement of working for Tetra Tech is that you are at least 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada. (A copy of a valid work permit may be required.)

If you are considered for the position, clearance on all applicable background checks (which may include criminal, identity, educational and security) and professional reference checks are required. Some Tetra Tech positions require an enhanced level of background assessment, which is dictated by law. These positions require advanced criminal record checks that must also be conducted from time to time after commencement of employment.
