Job description

Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division is looking for an Software Test Developer to add to our Software Infrastructure team. Reporting to the Manager - Firmware Test Engineering you will design, develop and implement product tests that verify and validate our expansive portfolio.  You will learn about our systems and utilize that knowledge to build a truly extensible and full featured system tests; and to support an ever-increasing demand for testing in automation.

This position is with Hexagon’s Autonomy & Positioning division, a global technology leader, pioneering end-to-end solutions industry leaders rely on for assured positioning and autonomy on land, sea and air. Within the Autonomy & Positioning division your work will contribute to the operation of our brand(s) NovAtel, AutonomouStuff, VERIPOS and Antcom.

 
The Location: This position is based in Calgary, AB.


As a Software Test Designer, your responsibilities include:

  • Design, execute and maintain verification and validation scripts written in Python

  • Deploy and monitor tests in a continuous integration system (Jenkins)

  • Collect and analyze real-world GNSS/INS data

  • Document test design, specifications, runs, results, and compliance to requirements

  • Troubleshoot test failures and investigate and identify root causes


Must-Have:                      

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science or Geomatics / Computer Engineering
  • 3-5 years of relevant test experience
  • Experience writing and debugging Python
  • Experience using version control (Git or Perforce)
  • Experience with various software testing methodologies and problem solving
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid Class 5 drivers license.
