This is an experienced VDC Specialist position where the incumbent will translate design intent contract documents or 3D design models of Plumbing, Mechanical and HVAC systems into fabrication and installation detail Building Information Models (BIM's) utilizing BIM fabrication modelling software.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with engineers and managers to produce LOD400 BIM for mechanical and plumbing systems.
• Work with General Contractor and other subcontractors to achieve spatial coordination of all trades.
  • Attend weekly coordination meetings, either onsite or virtually, to achieve spatial coordination of all trades
  • Generate RFI's to be submitted to the design team when required
• Create detailed shop drawings for the purposes of fabrication and installation of associated trades
  • Creation and annotation of shop drawings
  • Creation and annotation of hanger drawings
  • Creation and annotation of sleeve drawings
  • Creation and export of hanger and sleeve coordinates to be utilized by the robotic total station layout team for field layout
• Communicate with field personnel, when required, to ensure that fabrication and installation intent is clearly communicated on shop and spool drawings
• Mentor and train Junior VDC Specialists

Education/experience:

• 2 or more years of experience with installation or 3D modelling of mechanical or plumbing systems.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Autodesk Fabrication CADMEP and Autodesk Navisworks
• Knowledge of other BIM related software is a plus
• A working familiarity and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and ability to be trained in use of the Company-specific applications and software

Must:

• Learn and apply new information quickly and effectively
