HOURS: Full Time (45+)
LOCATION: Fort Lauderdale

You will:
  • Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with end-users, studying systems flow, data usage and work processes, investigating problem areas, and following the software development lifecycle.
  • Improve operations by conducting systems analysis, recommending changes in policies and procedures.
  • Work in close partnership with the Data Team and support/ministry teams in determining process improvements, best practices, and developing new ones as necessary.
  • Participate in the core project team tasked with maintaining and enhancing the functionality and integration of the church's ChMS. You will be responsible for project management, deployment, software development and internal training tasks related to the ChMS.
  • Help ensure the quality and integrity of the data in Calvary Chapel's varied databases, and help with the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analysis, dashboards, software and tools, etc. to assist with key leadership decisions.
  • Assist with software integration efforts to address other ministry requirements. This includes integration of ChMS with Accounting software, Human Resources Management Systems, Point-of-sale solutions, etc.

You have:
  • Excellent organizational, technical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Spiritual gifts of: administration, discernment and service.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for relating effectively with staff members, leadership, church attendees, volunteers, and vendors.
  • Knowledge and experience developing software using enterprise database systems such as Microsoft or Oracle SQL Server. Significant experience writing SQL Stored Procedures, Functions, Queries and reports.
  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams and management to collect requirements, identify tasks, provide estimates and meet production deadlines
  • Experience with professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations
  • Knowledge of applicable software, computer languages, and code to perform the responsibilities of the role and the aptitude and willingness to learn new technologies and programming languages.
  • The ability to provide in-depth evaluation and analysis of unique complex technological issues.
  • Experience developing mobile applications for IOS and Android devices.
  • Minimum of five (5) years Software development experience with an emphasis on Web systems development. Visual Basic.net, C#, ASP.net, Java, PHP and HTML4/5 experience required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or in a related field or equivalent experience
