Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Software Developer II is a mid-level role responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining both legacy and modern web applications. This position requires a solid understanding of the Microsoft development stack and the ability to work independently on moderately complex projects. Reports directly to the Director of Software Engineering.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Develop and maintain ASP.NET and Blazor applications.

  • Design and implement new features and enhancements based on business requirements.

  • Refactor legacy code to improve performance and maintainability.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

  • Provide guidance to junior developers and actively contribute to team knowledge sharing.

  • Able to work independently on moderately complex tasks with minimal supervision.

  • Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to best practices.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • 3-5 years of experience in software development using Microsoft technologies.

  • Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET (Web Forms and MVC), Blazor, and .NET Core.

  • Experience with SQL Server, Entity Framework, and RESTful APIs.

  • Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Familiarity with unit testing frameworks such as xUnit or MSTest.

  • Experience in Agile environments and with tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira preferred.

  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

  • Excellent analytical and debugging skills.
