About Your Role

As a Software Developer on our Output Solutions team, you'll help design, develop, and support the mission-critical platforms that generate print and electronic communications for more than 1,700 financial institution clients. You'll partner with product, business, and technology teams to build secure, scalable, and high-quality software solutions that support our clients' evolving needs.

What you'll do:

  • Design, develop, enhance, and support software applications using C#, .NET, JavaScript, and SQL technologies
  • Build and maintain Windows Forms, WPF applications, Windows Services, REST APIs, SOAP services, and ASP.NET MVC/Core applications
  • Partner with business stakeholders, product teams, and application management to deliver software solutions from concept through production support
  • Design and optimize database solutions while troubleshooting complex application and SQL performance issues
  • Apply Agile development practices, including Scrum and Test-Driven Development (TDD), to deliver high-quality software
  • Support CI/CD processes, deployment automation, quality code initiatives, and security remediation activities
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support to maintain system reliability and business continuity
  • Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives that promote engineering best practices

Experience you'll need to have:

  • 3+ years of software development experience using C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core/.NET, JavaScript, and SQL
  • 3+ years of experience developing and supporting Windows Forms, WPF applications, Windows Services, REST APIs, SOAP services, and ASP.NET MVC/Core applications
  • 3+ years of experience applying object-oriented design and programming principles in enterprise software environments
  • 3+ years of experience with CI/CD practices, deployment automation, software security remediation, and code quality tools such as Fortify, WebInspect, and Sonatype
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and military experience

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Experience with COBOL and Visual Basic (VB)
  • Experience working within Agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • Familiarity with document composition and customer communication management platforms, including Quadient Inspire
  • Knowledge of page description and document rendering technologies such as PDF, PostScript, AFP, and PCL
  • Basic knowledge of containerization technologies and DevSecOps practices

How you'll work:

  • Fiserv emphasizes in-person collaboration to help you grow your career while shaping the future of fintech, this role is on-site Monday through Friday
  • This role requires being on-call during non-standard and/or overnight hours on a rotational basis
  • This role requires flexibility to work overtime that includes weekends and holidays
  • This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment

Travel:

  • Approximately 5% travel off-site or to other office locations is expected
