Job description

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a Junior Systems Engineer to add to a new team in Annapolis Junction, MD! This project will provide commercial systems engineering and logistics services to DO and CSD to perform function and requirements analysis, solution design, solution analysis (including value modeling, analysis of alternatives, and risk analysis), and systems integration to enable the realization of successful systems that provide the nation with a decisive advantage over adversaries. These technical services are required to explore, design, optimize, integrate, and maintain new and emerging technologies and strategies.

Duties include:

  • Performing systems engineering functions, including defining and documenting concept of operations, operational/system requirements, and use cases to support system development.
  • Performing high-level system design.
  • Specifying system/component performance and interface requirements.
  • Developing installation, integration, and acceptance test plans.
  • Continuously assess existing organizational processes and work products to ensure they best facilitate strategic and tactical efforts.
  • Coordinate with customers, project teams, and related organizations to ensure solutions satisfy the requirements.
  • Define and communicate a shared technical and architectural vision for the solutions developed by the product teams.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelors degree and 0-3 years of experience.
  • An active security clearance.
