Job description

ABOUT US: The Schaumburg Park District is an award-winning public agency that provides its 80,000 residents with a wide variety of recreational facilities, programs, events, parks and open spaces. Schaumburg Park District is home to the Schaumburg Golf Club, a beautifully manicured 27-hole course. The 27-hole course has hosted U.S. Open Qualifying, Illinois State Amateur Qualifying, Illinois Open Qualifying, IPGA Pro-Junior Championship, just to name a few.

JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking an experienced and organized Assistant Golf Professional to work side by side with the Head Golf Professional. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the operations of golf shop, inventory, supervising of staff, teaching programs and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for golf, excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others.


QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must be at least 18 years old, friendly, outgoing, and responsible. The ideal candidate would have basic knowledge of golf and prior experience working with the public or customer service is helpful. Candidate must be able to learn our point-of-sale system (ActiveNet), G1 Reservation system.

SCHEDULING & PAY: This is a seasonal position starting March 1, 2026, and running through November (weather dependent). You can expect to work about 30-40 hours per week. Scheduling will include various shifts Monday through Sunday. Pay is $18.50 / hour.
