Job Overview
  • Role: Cloudera Platform Engineer Senior
  • Location: Bloomington, Illinois (Onsite)
Technical Skills (Primary)
Minimum 5 years of experience required:
  • Cloudera Platform Management: Configuration and hands-on experience with Cloudera on-prem platform components.
  • Cloudera Data Platform (CDP): Experience with installation, configuration, patching, scaling, and performance tuning.
  • Core Components: HDFS, Hive, Yarn, Spark, Kafka.
  • Cluster Management: Capacity planning and file system management.
  • Security & Recovery: Experience with Kerberos, Ranger, encryption, backup, and recovery strategies for HDFS and Metadata services.
  • High Availability: Designing and maintaining HA for Name Node, Resource Manager, Hive, etc.
  • Troubleshooting: Advanced technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis across platform components.
  • Cloud Operations: Support Azure cloud operations for data platform.
  • Data Pipelines: Experience in data ingestion and data curation pipelines.
  • Methodology: Working in cross-functional teams following SAFE Agile practices.
  • Hybrid Cloud: Work across Cloudera and Azure platforms to support Hybridcloud based environments.
Technical Skills (Secondary)
Nice to have (NOT MANDATORY):
  • Working knowledge of GitLab for code management.
  • Experience on other data platforms like Tableau BO (user access management).
