Job Summary
Are you ready to take the lead on projects that move people and transform cities? TYLin is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a passion for delivering high-quality Rail + Transit design projects and programs. This is your opportunity to partner with some of the most respected transit agencies in the U.S., while strengthening your leadership profile and mentoring the next generation of engineers.
The Opportunity
Based in New York City, you'll manage and deliver major Rail + Transit projects for agencies such as MTA, Amtrak, PANYNJ, NJ Transit, LIRR, Metro-North, and others. You'll also have opportunities to collaborate on national pursuits with agencies like WMATA, SEPTA, and CTA.
You'll lead a talented team of engineers and designers, build strong client relationships, and deliver projects that improve regional and national mobility.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
What You'll Do
  • Lead and deliver complex Rail + Transit design projects, from early planning through final design.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients, ensuring quality and exceptional service.
  • Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers, fostering growth and career development.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders nationwide to pursue new opportunities and strengthen our Rail + Transit practice.
  • Represent the company at client meetings, industry events, and professional associations in New York and beyond.
  • Play a key role in project pursuits, including proposal development, strategy, and presentations.

What You Bring
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Professional Engineer (PE) license in NY strongly preferred.
  • Proven success delivering Rail + Transit engineering design projects, programs, or on-call assignments for major agencies.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, with deep expertise in Rail + Transit projects.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and motivating teams.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to balance technical delivery, business development, and team growth responsibilities.
