Job Title: Senior QA Automation Test Engineer (Onsite)
Location: Columbia, MD
Duration: Full Time
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Test Engineer with strong experience in automation testing, web applications, and API validation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing automated testing solutions, ensuring software quality across complex applications, integrations, and releases.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and test suites
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end testing
  • Develop automated test scripts using Selenium, Playwright, and/or Cypress
  • Validate REST APIs, JSON payloads, and microservices using Postman and Swagger
  • Identify, document, and track defects using Jira or similar tools
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC
  • Review requirements and create comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and automated release validation
  • Analyze application logs, browser diagnostics, and API responses to troubleshoot issues
  • Mentor junior QA team members and promote testing best practices

Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in QA Automation and Software Testing
  • Strong hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, and/or Cypress
  • Experience testing web applications, APIs, and integrated systems
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, SQL, and automation frameworks
  • Experience with Postman, Swagger, Jira, TestNG, or JUnit
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
  • Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Nice to Have:
  • Experience with performance testing tools
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or microservices environments
  • Experience testing cloud-native or AI-powered applications
  • Programming experience in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python
