They work closely with development and QA teams to identify bugs, improve test processes, and help maintain high standards for software releases. Typically, they use tools like Selenium, JUnit, or similar frameworks and may write scripts in languages such as Python or Java. Their focus is on automating repetitive testing tasks to increase efficiency and coverage while learning best practices in software testing and automation.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a junior QA automation engineer?

Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG, and familiarity with CI/CD systems are typically expected. Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills help you effectively identify issues and collaborate with development teams. These skills ensure high-quality software releases and efficient detection of defects early in the development cycle.
