Enterprise Applications Developer

Summary
The Enterprise Application Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting internal applications, data solutions, and integrations that serve multiple IT and business teams across the organization. This role works across various phases of the development lifecycle, contributing to application development, reporting solutions, API integrations, and process automation initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer with experience across backend development, data access, and front-end technologies, capable of working independently on assigned initiatives while collaborating closely with infrastructure, security, data, and business stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Application & API Development
  • Design, develop, and maintain internal applications and services using Python and related frameworks
  • Build and support REST-based APIs for system integrations and internal data access
  • Collaborate with internal teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Ensure applications follow secure coding standards and institutional technology

Power Platform & Internal Tools
  • Develop and enhance internal business applications using Microsoft Power Apps and related Power Platform tools
  • Integrate Power Apps with backend systems, APIs, and data sources
  • Support workflow automation initiatives that improve operational efficiency

Data & Reporting
  • Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models to support reporting and application needs
  • Assist in the design and maintenance of reporting datasets used by BI tools and internal dashboards
  • Troubleshoot data quality, performance, and integration issues

Front-End Development
  • Contribute to front-end development using modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, frameworks as applicable)
  • Ensure user interfaces are intuitive, maintainable, and aligned with internal UX standards

Collaboration & Lifecycle Support
  • Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and support
  • Work closely with infrastructure, security, and data teams to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and supportable
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for applications, APIs, and data integrations
  • Provide support and enhancements to existing internal applications and tools

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 3โ€“6 years of professional experience in application development or software engineering
  • Strong experience with Python for application or automation development
  • Working knowledge of SQL (queries, joins, performance considerations)
  • Experience developing or consuming REST APIs
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Apps or similar low-code platforms
  • Basic to intermediate front-end development experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, React)
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, source control, and deployment best practices
  • Understanding of data governance, access controls, and secure development practices
  • Knowledge of GenAI tools, agents, frameworks for AI
  • Ability to work across multiple initiatives and support different internal teams
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Additional qualifications and requirements:
  • Working knowledge of Python for data processing, automation, or analytical workflows.
  • Familiarity with other Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Automate and Power Apps.
  • Knowledge of, or demonstrated ability to rapidly develop proficiency in, Microsoft Fabric and modern data platform ecosystems, as the Bank is planning a progressive transition toward this architecture.
  • Prior experience with the FIS Data Warehouse or similar core banking data models.
  • Experience working in regulated environments and within data governance frameworks.
