Sr Treasury Analyst
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
This role is responsible for supporting the company's liquidity, cash management, banking operations, merchant processing, and investment activities through accurate cash forecasting, daily cash positioning, payment execution support, bank and merchant account administration, and treasury reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts; analyze variances and recommend actions to optimize liquidity.
  • Support execution and controls for treasury transactions, including wires/ACH, intercompany transfers, and account funding.
  • Administer banking and merchant processing relationships, including account setup, contract support, signatory maintenance, PCI-related coordination, KYC documentation, online access management, and periodic fee analysis.
  • Monitor merchant processing activity (e.g., credit card, ACH, and digital payments) to ensure accurate settlement, funding timeliness, and proper recording of fees, chargebacks, and reserves.
  • Assist with investment and short-term cash placement activities in accordance with the organization's investment policy.
  • Support accurate investment accounting by preparing or reviewing investment-related journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules.
  • Maintain, document, and periodically update treasury and merchant-related policies, procedures, and work instructions, including cash management, banking access, payment controls, merchant processing, investments, and liquidity management.
  • Ensure treasury, merchant processing, and investment activities are executed in accordance with approved policies, internal controls, and delegated authority levels.
  • Own and maintain treasury-related internal control documentation, including process narratives and control descriptions for cash, merchant processing, and investments; support periodic testing and remediation of control deficiencies as needed.
  • Prepare and distribute periodic treasury reporting for management and committees, including liquidity metrics, cash forecasts, merchant activity summaries, fee analyses, and investment performance reporting.
  • Lead treasury process improvement initiatives, including Treasury Management System (TMS) or merchant platform enhancements, bank connectivity, automation, and reporting improvements.
  • Contributes to a positive team dynamic through respectful interactions, positive contributions, and active collaboration to achieve department and organizational goals.
  • Incorporates AAA's vision, mission and values in day-to-day activities and behaviors; supports others in maintaining alignment with organizational values.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • None (may provide guidance or mentoring to junior staff as needed).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate treasury, cash management, merchant processing, investment accounting, or related finance/accounting roles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial analysis, including reconciliations involving cash, merchant activity, and investments.
  • Working knowledge of banking products, payment methods, merchant processing concepts, and reconciliation practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation (or progress toward CTP).
  • Experience with Treasury Management Systems (TMS), merchant processing platforms, or ERP cash and investment modules.
  • Experience with investment accounting, fair value reporting, or covenant and compliance reporting.
  • Experience in travel, membership, insurance, or similarly regulated/service-oriented industries preferred.
  • Project management experience supporting system implementations, merchant platform conversions, or process automation.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
  • CTP preferred; CPA/CMA a plus.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
  • Strong understanding of cash and liquidity management, merchant processing flows, and investment accounting concepts.
  • Ability to analyze complex transaction data, identify discrepancies, and communicate clear, actionable insights.
  • High integrity and commitment to internal controls, confidentiality, and compliance.
  • Ability to improve processes through documentation, standardization, and automation.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration and service orientation.

SALARY:
  • Hiring Range: $98,634 - $113,424
  • Opportunity to earn a annual bonus based on company performance.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical environment is typical of a standard office space. It requires the employee to work inside for the duration of work. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, sitting for more than 50% of the time. This position will require occasionally moving about inside the office to access equipment, cabinets, etc. May work around office equipment which could be noisy, such as copiers and fax machines.
