Job description

Mechanical Engineer

All qualified candidates will be responded to in 24 hours or less. Must be a U.S. citizen with an active DoD Secret Security Clearance. This effort is on-site in Tucson, AZ or Tewksbury, MA.

Employment type: Full Time W-2 or Contract. Rate: open to negotiation. Benefits: including health, dental vision, PTO, holiday, etc.

Research, plan, design and develop mechanical test systems in areas including, but not limited to, vibration, thermal, hydraulic, radio frequency, and electro-optical for production testing environments. Integrate and validate test systems against stringent accuracy and reliability requirements. Product verification, qualification, test data analysis, and production test solution development. Evaluate production installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions.

Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum five (5) years of work experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of work experience. Minimum of five (5) years of technical/engineering experience in mechanical design and/or production support. Minimum of three (3) years experience with CAD solid modeling tools and analysis tools with an emphasis on ProE/CREO Parametric. Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerance analysis. Experience creating mechanical drawing packages.

Pluses: Design experience with mechanical and electronic packaging. Experience with Configuration Management processes, application, and tools (e.g., Windchill/cPDM). Experience with cable design, specifically CREO Schematic.
